Advantages for radiators
Radiators can be coated perfectly using a two-layer process
A good example of a coating solution that meets these requirements is the two-layer coating of radiators with an anodic EC “rewash” primer and a powder top coat. This is a FreiLacke process that combines high quality standards with optimum profitability. In anodic dispersion coating (ADC), the coating material is first immersed in an electrically conductive, aqueous electro-deposition coating, then a DC voltage field is applied between the coating material (as the anode) and a counter-electrode (as the cathode). A water-soluble binding agent is then deposited on the surface of the radiators connected as electrodes (electro-coagulation) to create a sealed, adhesive coating film. The powder top coat then enables to give the surface some highly flexible design options with various coarse or fine structures and gloss categories.
